Garden of Life set to bloom

Transplant Manitoba – Gift of Life is excited to prepare for another gardening season with our friends at Assiniboine Park Conservancy.

In cooperation with the APC, planting day for the Garden of Life is planned for Tuesday, May 26. Members of the Transplant Manitoba – Gift of Life team will be there to beautify the beds in front of the Conservatory and place this year’s carefully chosen flowers.

Volunteer opportunities will be available on planting day as well as for the regular maintenance schedule (weeding, cultivating).

Introduced to the park in 1998, the Garden of Life is a tribute to living and deceased organ and tissue donors. The garden honours the many unsung heroes who gave the gift of life, hope and happiness through organ donation.

If you are interested in volunteering with the garden, please go to this link and fill out the form. Under the question “How did you hear about us?” put Transplant Manitoba. In the “Questionnaire” section of the application, type N/A for all questions.
